Keith Urban just played a show for thousands in Ohio — but the performance people can’t stop talking about happened hours earlier, in a hospital room. He quietly visited Marissa English, a 25-year-old fan battling multiple serious conditions, after nurses and her family pushed a social-media campaign to reach him. In the room, he held her hand, sang “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” and her mom says Marissa visibly calmed — heart rate down, best blood pressure in days. And the part that hits hardest? This wasn’t on a stage, no cameras needed… just one song, one moment — and a goodbye that left everyone trying not to cry.

Keith Urban, a Legend in Country Music, Has Once Again Demonstrated Why He Is One of the Most Sincere and Caring Performers in the Business. Everyone Was in Tears as Urban Took a Moment Out of His Hectic Schedule To Visit a Very Sick Fan in the Hospital and Provide a Heartfelt, Intimate Show.

Despite being a megastar and drawing crowds of thousands of dollars to his shows, Keith Urban’s private performance is simply invaluable.

Keith recently performed in front of thousands of fans at Huntington Center in Toledo, Ohio, but the best moment came hours earlier inside the Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center, when he visited his biggest fan, Marissa English.

Marissa is a 25-year-old country music buff, who is at the hospital, being treated for a range of serious health conditions, including hydrocephalus, an inoperable cyst on her brain, cerebral palsy and severe scoliosis.

English only wanted to see Urban perform live, according to Marlise Matthews, her mom, and sister, Madison Rowe.

Her deteriorating health would not permit her to step out, talk-less of going for a concert., But, thanks to her darling caretakers, who wanted English to have her hearts desire fulfilled, made the impossible come true.

“A few nurses made it their mission to make her dream come true,” Matthews said, “They started a social media blitz that just took off like crazy to get Keith’s attention.”

Their social media campaign worked and Urban arrived at English’s hospital room.

“The visit was truly amazing,” Matthews said, “Keith was so compassionate with her. He held her hand while he talked to her and sang to her.”

Urban sang English’s favourite song, “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” and kissed her on the cheek.

“She calmed down so much while he was here,” Matthews said. “Her heart rate dropped a lot, and her blood pressure was the best that it had been in days.”

What a beautiful and kind gesture for Marissa, by her sweet caretaker. This is really good stuff.

Marissa English had her dreams come true today. A huge shout out to Keith Urban for being an awesome person and making her the happiest girl in the world.
