Desperate Arizona cops searching for Nancy Guthrie revealed they still have no suspect four days after the 84-year-old’s disappearance as they brought in the FBI for help cracking the case they seem to be making little progress on.
“We don’t know if multiple people were involved,” Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told a news conference Tuesday, as he again appealed for the public’s help finding the missing mother of “Today” host Savannah Guthrie.
He also responded, “no clue,” when asked by a reporter where Nancy was, and how many people were involved in her disappearance.
“We have crime in Tucson all the time,” he added, in response to a question about how he knew there was no danger to the public at large, while confirming that police were no longer at Nancy’s house.
“The scene is done. We’re done with the residence,” he said. “We don’t know where she is.”
“We do believe that Nancy was taken from her home against her will,” he added.
At the same conference, the FBI’s special agent spoke to say he was on the case.
“We are doing everything in our power to bring Nancy Guthrie home,” Jon Edwards, Assistant Special Agent for the FBI’s Tucson office,” said at the news conference.
